Hawkins County-Principal Day Celebrations

Bulls Gap School -We celebrated Principal Appreciation Day with a short skit of The Lone Ranger and Tonto. We also provided our wonderful principals with lunch. We are blessed to have Ms. Southern and Ms. Morelock here at BGS!! Go Bulldogs. Click here for the photos.

Carter’s Valley Elementary School – Principal Appreciation Day at Carter’s Valley was moved several times due to snow, but that gave all our wonderful students time to bring in supplies for The Hawkins County Humane Society.  Together we collected over 20 bags of dog/cat food, 20 cans of food, 10 blankets, 25 toys, and lots of treats!  Our staff and students dressed up in Cowboy/Native American attire and the staff brought in covered dishes to share with Mrs. McKee.  We decorated a classroom and everyone enjoyed lunch together.   Click here for the photos.

Church Hill Elementary School – Principal Appreciation Day was a hit at Church Hill Elementary School. The snow turned her special day into a special week, but if anyone deserves to be recognized it is Teresa Drinnon. Instead of a gift Mrs. Drinnon wanted to do something for the local nursing home. The residents of Church Hill Nursing Home were treated to treat bags with hand made cards from our students. We also had a yummy lunch and Mrs. Drinnon was given a basket of goodies. I think her favorite gift was a fitness walker, now she can see how many steps she walks a day! Click here for the photos.

Church Hill Middle School– We at CHMS celebrated Principal Appreciation Day on 2/24/16.  Our office and support staff cooked lunch for our fabulous principals. We also surprised them with gift cards and an ice cream cake.  Our students wrote letters of appreciation and made signs to decorate their doors.  We all had a great day celebrating our wonderful principals! Clinch School – Finally, after all the snow melted and the roads cleared, we celebrated our “Lone Ranger”, who in all reality is never alone. He has many willing rangers that help. Mr. Barton was presented with some goodies and a meal was spread for him and the rest of the rangers. The meal was partially purchased from a place near the school and the rest was put together by the coordinator and her crew which consisted of Nurse Regina, Ms. Angie, Ms. Deborah, Ms. Donna and Ms. Sherry. Joseph Rogers Primary School – Hi Ho Silver!  We celebrated our principal, Mrs. Allen by having students dress as cowboys and Native Americans.  Mrs. Allen was given a “Sheriff of JRP” badge.  She was also presented with a gift basket with all her favorite treats and a gift card to go shopping.  Pre-K presented her with a Heart of Joy and their little handprints so show their appreciation.  Teachers filled our Bull’s-eye with kind and nice things that our students did to help out.  Click here for the photos.

McPheeters Bend Elementary SchoolMrs. Renee Bernard received a hand signed poster from the kids. The kids also dressed up like Indians. She also received a gift card from Olive Garden.  Click here for the photos.

Mooresburg Elementary School – Mooresburg students celebrated Pricipal Appreciation day by dressing as cowboys and indians for the LONE RANGER theme. Students presented our LONE RANGER, Mrs. Walker, with a Cracker Barrel gift card, trail mix, jerky, and a bottled water…. just in case she gets hungry out on the trail. Students also wrote notes of thanks and created a BULLSEYE with silver bullets of appreciation. Click here for the photos.

Mount Carmel Elementary School – MCES honored our Principal, Ms. Kelli Campbell by collecting water bottles for the Church Hill Summer Lunchbox program and individually wrapped snacks for local hospitals to distribute to patients and family members awaiting medical treatment. We collected 379 bottles of water and 3 large boxes stuffed full of snack items. Click here for the photos.

Pathways Alternative School -We had a lot of fun celebrating Principal Appreciation Day. Our principals are so special to us.  Click here for the photos.

St. Clair Elementary School – We love Mrs. Davis, and we’re so glad that she’s with us at St. Clair! We treated her with lunch, flowers, pictures, and a gift card to a boutique. Our favorite gift, though, was a book titled “A Day in the Life of Mrs. Davis” written by St. Clair students. St. Clair is lucky to have our principal! Click here for the photos.

Surgoinsville Elementary SchoolNeither snow, nor flood, nor cold of night could keep us from celebrating our wonderful principal. We expanded on the Lone Ranger theme and went with the quote of “to the world, you may just be one person, but to one person you may just be the world.” Click here for the photos.

Volunteer High SchoolWe celebrated Principal Appreciation Day with a great lunch and a bandana full of treats. We appreciate all our principals do to make our school run great.
